Studying at RMC

The Royal Military College of Canada (RMC or RMCC) welcomes both military and civilian graduate students. RMC is a full degree granting university with research relating to the Department of National Defence. As a federal university, it is fully bilingual offering courses and activities in both English and French.

Life at RMC

RMC is located on Point Frederick peninsula, surrounded on three sides by Lake Ontario. The main chemistry building has large windows looking out onto the water and at the historic Fort Henry. The athletic facilities are vast and includes a sports center, an arena, and many squash courts, pools, and sports fields. The Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Department is active in the community, hosting public demonstrations (imaged), conferences, and other events.

Life in Kingston

Kingston is a small town with a population of 130k located by Lake Ontario at the mouth of the St. Lawrence river. It is midway between Toronto and Montreal and is right beside the tourist destinations Thousand Islands and Prince Edward County. It is home to two universities (RMC and Queen's University), many historical sites, windy weather, and celebrities such as The Tragically Hip, The Glorious Sons, and Bryan Adams.
